Healing is real and possible. Suffering does not have to last. I help clients live authentically, find more peace, and connect more to self and others by increasing awareness and acceptance of emotions, increasing body discernment/somatic mindfulness, and enhancing the body/mind/spirit connection. Feeling better comes through learning to regulate the nervous system through the reprocessing of old trauma and healing one's attachment wounds, expressing emotions using expressive arts/music/movement/drumming/psychodrama/writing/etc., learning to re-frame negative thoughts, increasing shame resilience, and practicing self-compassion.
I am an Expressive Arts Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor, and Restorative Partner Yoga Practitioner. My education includes an MA in Expressive Arts Therapies/Mental Health Counseling and a Masters of Family and Human Development. Additionally I am trained in EMDR, Theraplay, Sandtray Therapy, EFT, DBT, and Psychodrama.
Being human is not easy. Making sense out of life's experiences can be confusing and even debilitating. I invite you to find support on this journey. I am honored to work with individuals and support them to find meaning and strength through research based practices which allow relief and renewed confidence in one's self and one's ability to navigate life.
