My name is Kailey Vilyus, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Ohio under the supervision of Chris Roseman PhD, LPCC-S. I have experience working with teens and adults in community and school settings. My primary areas of treatment include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, life stressors, and trauma. My passion involves educating clients and families on mental health, incorporating self-awareness of physical symptoms that occur with trauma or mood disorders, using interventions that involve creativity or relaxation, and having a holistic mind-body-spirit approach to healing.
My current treatment modalities include motivational interviewing, person-centered counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These therapies involve understanding a person’s strengths, motivation for change, and understanding how thoughts impact our behavior. I believe in using an eclectic approach by adapting treatment to fit each client.
It can be difficult to take the first step in reaching out for help and work towards healing. Everyone’s past, current difficulties, and goals are different.
