I fell in love with working with couples early in my career and I also have a deep compassion for those suffering from trauma. Often relationship issues and trauma coincide and both need to be addressed. I view all issues, including relationship issues, from a trauma informed lens. I work with couples to develop relationship skills from scientifically proven tools. My goal is to help you experience positive, safe, and connecting interactions in therapy so you can strengthen your relationship and be successful at home. Individuals will find that I help them process trauma in a way that is effective and makes them feel safe and seen.
I’m trained in and utilize both Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman method. I work with couples navigating mixed faith marriages, personality disorders/trauma, and betrayal. I also use somatic EMDR with individuals to help with relationship issues, faith crisis, religious and childhood and complex trauma.
Beginning therapy can be scary and it can be difficult to reach out. My commitment is to approach everyone with understanding and compassion, especially since I have had personal experience in needing my own individual and couples therapy.
