Hello! My name is Kacy Latham, M.A. LPC Associate supervised by Dr. Tara Fox, Ph.D., LPC Supervisor. My primary focus is working with survivors of CPTSD and victims of controlling and abusive relationships. I believe that trauma can have long lasting effects on all areas of our lives and most critically, the development of authentic self-hood. Trauma can manifest as emotional flashbacks, nightmares, panic attacks, critical self-talk, poor boundaries, social anxiety, loneliness, abandonment issues, fragile self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional reactivity, dissociation, self-harm, risky behaviors, and addictions.
Healing from Complex PTSD often requires a multidimensional, dynamic, and collaborative process dictated by each clients needs and preferences. I believe that clients can benefit from understanding the impact of early experiences and how it shapes identity, emotional maturity, and current coping mechanisms.
Do find yourself feeling invisible, taken for granted, or powerless? Have you made yourself smaller to keep the peace? Do you struggle to set healthy boundaries, advocate for your own needs, or hide your authentic self? Do you often feel "zoned out" or struggle with dark thoughts? I understand. I am here to help take back your power.
