As a Japanese American woman who has lived in the South throughout my life, I find myself on a journey of searching for who I am and what it means to show up just as I am in the world around me. I am deeply drawn to working with people who are searching for their authentic self through a therapeutic relationship. This may mean working with personal or generational trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, relationships, cultural identity, gender, sexuality, and so much more. I truly believe in the capabilities of everyone I work with and believe that you are the expert of your own life; I am here to walk with you on your journey.
Therapy is a vulnerable experience, and I value your safety above all. When we have experienced hurt/judgment from the systems we live in, we often show up in a protective manner. I believe it is my responsibility to create a space of trust, healing, and safety within the work we do together that challenges what we may have learned about the world.
I take an individualized approach with each person I work with, primarily using Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and Polyvagal theory. When you are ready to get curious, to learn more about who you are and how you show up in the world, I would be honored to walk this path with you.
