Finding a therapist in a big city can be a daunting task for such an important decision and journey you are on. I cultivate a space for you to feel seen and heard while facilitating change through a therapeutic relationship of compassion and culturally affirming care. I'm committed to working with LGBTQ+ individuals/relationships and working with teens in this ever more complex world that induces overwhelming feelings. I also provide support for parents with teens in navigating these issues. I work with adults who experience a variety of expressions such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma to name a few.
I provide relationship therapy which includes romantic (monogamous + non-monogamous), family, and even friendships. You read this right. Friendships can often be our chosen family and therapy can be a tool to assist them. I collaborate with clients in these spaces to build/enhance emotional safety, vulnerability, and communication to facilitate their goals.
My healing journey with trauma makes me conscious of the issues one can face within themselves and in relationships. This was my motivation to be trained in EMDR, a tool to help reprocess traumatic memories and help clients experience more inner peace and resiliency. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I would be honored to consult with you!
