If you are feeling stuck in life, what I offer is the opportunity to look at these painful experiences together in order to understand it, process it, feel it. My purpose is to participate in the journey with you, guiding not directing. I encourage people to explore and put words to those events that have felt paralyzing. I believe people can gain the insight to change those behaviors in their life that have been crippling. I offer the opportunity to create a safe environment and to enter this journey with you. We will both observe your feelings and behavior at a pace that is comfortable.
I am trained in relational psychoanalysis. What this means is that the therapeutic relationship is used as the pillar in understanding the world around. You are not alone in your journey. Instead, you have the opportunity to explore your inner world in the context of a safe relationship. I also work psychoanalytically with couples.
Most people can benefit from this approach. For example, people suffering depression, anxiety, struggling in interpersonal relationships, coping with life traumas, dealing with eating disorders. In my couples work, my goal is to facilitate a mutual recognition in the partnership so that we can renegotiate the importance of the relationship.
