People end up in my office because what were once adaptive styles of coping no longer work for them. I provide a warm, safe environment in which they can begin to understand why they feel and/or act the way they do, and to try to learn new, more effective ways to cope with what they are dealing with now, and what may come their way in the future.
My treatment is tailored toward individual needs and may incorporate a variety of styles, from psychodynamic to cognitive-behavioral. I work with adolescents and adults, both individually and in groups, on issues such as eating disorders, depression, anxiety, mood swings, relationship problems, as well as a wide variety of other problems.
