Much of my career has involved working with clients who have experienced trauma and its effects which include post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and/or addictions.
Many of my clients tell me that my humorous, welcoming personality makes them feel like they are talking to an old friend. Since I believe (and research confirms) that a strong client/counselor relationship is the best predictor of success in therapy, I value that feedback above all else. Connection and support are two important ingredients in healing.
