Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Emotion-Focused Brief Therapy both often help clients to reach their goals in times of a crisis or major life transition. Working collaboratively, we make sense of complex situations, create new ways forward, and develop new narratives. Sessions are tailored around helping my clients achieve their goals in measurable ways by finding solutions to problems that are challenging and creating obstacles to living a life that is meaningful to them.
I'm currently providing telehealth sessions for mental health treatment with individuals (13 years of age and older), couples, and families experiencing stress navigating challenging life situations. I have extensive training and expertise in cognitive-behavioral strategies and trauma-informed care to assist clients in reaching their goals at their own pace.
Mental health treatment is very hard work and requires a commitment to change something that's not working which can be very difficult. Therapy that is effective needs to include a great deal of trust between client and therapist to allow this process to happen and direct communication is key to establishing this type of working relationship.
