Marriage is hard. I heard a professor remark that whenever there’s real communication between two people, it’s a miracle. Has that “miracle” been absent from your marriage for some time? We live in a society that has forgotten what it means to cultivate healthy and safe relationships, and that void is eroding the foundations of our marriages. We have lost a vision of what relationship is intended to be, and in that milieu we are attempting to cultivate intimate relationships that often touch on the most sacred and terrifying places in our hearts… how do we do that?
Intimacy requires the capacity to bring two separate beings into oneness… a challenging dance of both individuation and connection. To do that, we must both learn to take responsibility for ourselves and develop healthy boundaries that allow us to see, know, and enjoy our partners rather than attempting to save, fix, or control them.
I have a desire to help couples cultivate wholeness – both as individuals and as a couple.
