Julia Smith, LCSW 106946. I have been working in the mental health field in several capacities since 2015. My approach to therapy is to always meet the client where they're at and to create an environment that is suitable for growth and vulnerability. My focus area for my practice is unpacking and unlearning the systemic structures that prevent folks from healing and sticking to their mental health journeys.
I have worked with all kinds of folks, ages from 5 to 85, and from all different backgrounds. However, I have the most experience in working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, women, people with disabilities, folks with depression and anxiety, and young people (13 -25).
I will introduce myself, explain my approach to therapy, and then spend time slowly trying to get to know the client and building that relationship that encourages authenticity, honesty, and vulnerability.
