My name is Julia Smith. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and full time a tele-health therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals enhance their emotional well-being. I possess specialized training in evidenced based practices including: Brainspotting Phase I & II (pursuing certification), Trauma Focused-CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
I am trained in evidenced-based practices. Brainspotting is a mind-body method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional & body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. TF-CBT is a holistic cognitive model that provides skills to promote resiliency when coping with trauma.
In my approach, I provide a compassionate and accepting space that honors ones strengths & personal goal to better manage their symptoms. I am passionate about using effective methods to provide a gentle, safe, and fun approach to therapy. Sessions include education & skills to promote relaxation, emotional expression, and diffuse unhelpful thinking.
