Immediate availability for in person or online. A person's connection to movement, food, and body image can be a complicated relationship. Experiences and the outside environment mold this relationship. These external pressures can have a negative effect on how we view ourselves and food. I am here to help people understand that movement can be a source of enjoyment, food isn't something to be feared, and your self-worth is not dependent on your weight and size.
Disordered eating and eating disorder severity is on a spectrum and no matter where you fall on that spectrum you are worthy of seeking out care. I work from a HAES framework (“HAES” is trademarked by ASDAH) and strive to make people of all sizes comfortable in the therapy environment. Also, please see the list of specialties for other topics other than EDs.
The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of transformation. I will create a safe environment so you feel comfortable with the idea of introspection and disclosure. Thoughts can be overwhelming; I am here to help you dissect, understand, and challenge any self-deprecating ideas. Together we can improve overall well-being and bolster a new sense of self.
