Hi there, I'm Julia Ruffolo and I am an LCSW, licensed in both California and Nevada. I take a client centered approach when working with clients. I meet the client where they are at and truly believe that we are on this journey together. My background is in drug and alcohol addiction in addition to sex/porn/love addiction and mental health issues.
The majority of my experience includes working with the adult population and more specifically, working with addiction. My niche is sex/love/porn addiction and I utilize a variety of written materials to complement the live therapy work. I understand that with addiction there are mental health struggles and I am comfortable treating both diagnoses.
When working with clients, I am an active listener. With that said, I also provide guidance and feedback when appropriate. I believe that there should be an active dialogue between therapist and client and as a result, the relationship is strengthened.
