As a therapist, I aspire to create a safe and accepting therapeutic environment to facilitate your personal growth; relieve symptoms of depression or anxiety; and/or help you create stronger and more honest relationships. During your sessions we will work together to get a clearer understanding of the unhealthy patterns which may be standing in the way of your achieving fulfillment in your life. My goal is that my patients leave therapy feeling supported, understood and comfortably challenged. It is a guided mutual process in which you develop better coping skills with a deeper capacity to handle emotional difficulties.

My therapeutic process has developed over many years of practice and training.Some of the areas I draw on are: psychodynamic,attachment theory, object relations,and family systems. I also incorporate cognitive behavior theory using evidence based treatment protocols. I work with adolescents and their families, young adults, men and women,and couples.
