I strongly believe in the power of self-compassion, self-love, and giving oneself grace. In my therapeutic space, I stress the benefits of taking active steps to learn how to treat yourself with the kindness and love that you deserve from yourself and others. One of the best intervention tool can be self-compassion and positive regard for oneself. I very much understand that developing this part of oneself can be difficult, as we live in a society that greatly profits from our dislike of ourselves. Despite this challenge, I strongly believe that we all have the capacity to overcome this and develop this skill set.
As a social worker I spent my first few years helping clients with crisis stabilization, relational trauma and managing challenging life transitions. Currently I utilize a humanistic, trauma informed, strengths-based, and relational attachment approach to supporting my clients on their wellness journey.
I am strongly governed by the belief that folx internally encompass the tools and resources that they need to take on their healing. When a person is treated with respect, dignity, care, and love, these tools are easier to access. I take great care to create a space that is free of judgment and full of support and compassion.
