I am a licensed mental health counselor committed to serving teens and young adults in Florida who are struggling with anxiety and related concerns. I use an evidence-based approach, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), proven to be the most effective form of therapy for adolescent anxiety. Prior to joining Lumate, I provided counseling in private practice, community-based settings, schools, and residential facilities. I've also provided supervision for clinicians starting their careers in mental health. Before moving to Florida, I was a clinical director at a community-based organization serving children, teens and families.
At Lumate our mission is to enable people to positively change the outcome of their lives. As a Lumate clinician, I have received extensive training in exposure-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the most empirically supported treatment for youth and young adults with anxiety disorders, from leaders in the field.
My goal as a therapist is to help people thrive in their lives, rather than just survive. I collaborate with my patients to first discover their unique set of goals. We then partner to target thought patterns and avoidant behaviors that maintain anxiety, interfere with their goals, and decrease quality of life.
