I work with clients of all ages with an array of issues or struggles, including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict or stressors, life transitions, challenges, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The majority of my clients are seeking validation, emotional support, feedback on personal issues, and tools to help them regulate, cope, or heal for various reasons. Some bring in a history of trauma, worry, uncertainty, fear of the unknown, relational difficulties, interpersonal struggles, self-esteem problems, and others may be looking for brief therapy to address a specific issue.
I have a background in working with children, ages 5 to 18 and their families. I have experience working with high-risk clients struggling with suicidal ideation, self-injurious behavior, and require crisis management. Currently, I use CBT with a strengths based and person-centered approach.
I have a passion for making others feel heard, validated, and supported through any life challenges or transitions. I believe the most essential part to successful treatment is the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client. I value honesty, empathy, and laugher. This shows through my ability to be direct, sincere, and have a good sense of humor.
