My name is Joe Stevenson and I am a licensed Professional Counselor and Behavioral Specialist. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock University and my Master’s degree in Psychology Counseling from Chatham University, in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been a Counselor in the Pittsburgh area for many years in Community Mental Health working with individuals, youth, and families. I have extensive experience and training with individuals with Asperger's and other developmental issues.
I completed training on Addressing the Psychological Health of Warriors and their Families, through the Center for Deployment Psychology. The focus of this training was on: Trauma Sleep disturbance, Traumatic Brain Injury, Suicidal Behavior, Substance Abuse, and Depression.
Having much experience building a collaborative positive relationship, to guide and motivate individuals to use tried and true strategies, I have seen very good progress with the vast majority of my clients.
