Therapy is a place where you can be open and honest about yourself and have no judgment about who you are. We all need to be willing to ask for help when needed. I feel therapy can help a variety of people and I look to work with clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma. I also look to help clients who deal with a variety of other challenges such as issues at home or challenges in school.
I take an approach that is heavy on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, ACT, and Mindfulness. I feel no two people are alike and that each person I come into contact with deserves a unique approach based on their needs.
Therapy can be intimidating and oftentimes stigmatized. But I can assure you there is never any shame in asking for help. I am looking to do my part to normalize the use of mental health services and break down the barriers that may keep someone from going to therapy.
