Dr. Joseph Santiago, LMHC, PsyD-MFT has over 20 years of clinical experience. He has assisted countless clients with a diversity of issues and concerns on their road to recovery, including anger, addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, men's issues and spirituality. I strongly believe that the most important characteristics a therapist can possess are being emotionally and spiritually available and present, being willing to bear witness to the pain of the client, having the tools to "assist" the client on their journey, and understanding that everyone's road to recovery can look different.
Having the ability to understand and demonstrate empathy and acknowledging that we"are all clients' in some way has allowed me the privilege and given me the tools of working w/ individuals who have, or are, experiencing real life or existential pain. Both my educational and life experiences have equipped me in my role as a therapist
