I'm trained in family system theory and understand the social, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive challenges many encounter. I use evidence-based modalities such as CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, Talk Therapy, and the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through The Institute For Creative Mindfulness, an approved EMDRIA training facility. I work hard to become your partner on a journey where you hold the flashlight and at times, direct your attention to illuminate the unseen.
I specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, stress caused by Life transitions, and the consequences which have resulted from trauma. I am comfortable working with Adults, Children and Adolescents with interpersonal, social, and emotional challenges, and clients with Autism and Learning Disabilities. I believe in whole-person therapy.
I work hard in each session to guide you to a point where you leave the session with greater understanding of the power that is in you, to influence the change you seek to achieve. My intention is always to meet you at your point of need and leave you feeling encouraged and motivated to return with greater insight from the previous week.
