When the impact of mental health becomes too much, because that’s what happens to humans, we can start to feel overwhelmed and naturally our mind and body finds ways to cope. Sometimes the coping mechanisms people try don't always work. Healing is a journey, and there is no "right" way to do it. It's important to listen to your body, seek support and trust that you have the resilience and strength to make it through even the hardest moments. You don't have to have a mental illness to prioritize your mental health. Everyone can benefit from taking care of their emotional wellbeing.

I bring a calm and inviting presence to my sessions and maintain a space where people can openly share their feelings. I work with children, adolescents and adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, behavior support and the latino/a experience. In my work, when people feel safe beyond just the physical space, they are willing to open up more.

People often know they're experiencing struggle but sometimes they don’t know why. As a result, the wish to find resolve and resilience clashes with the expectations of our day-to-day life. This can make it hard to find a way to start therapy but when people give themselves permission to reach out, they can often see that they are capable to do hard things.
