I'm Joni Altshuler and after 30yrs in practice, I continue to be inspired and often awe struck by the people who walk thru my door.
I've worked with people from all walks of life and and a wide array of challenges. While I continue to work with individuals, I do believe the greatest mirror for self discovery lies within the dynamics of our relationships and hence my practice has a strong emphasis on working with couples and groups.
My approach is Present-oriented, Trauma informed and Experiential. I integrate a number of Mindfulness Based Cognitive therapies, Body oriented psychotherapy and numerous Somatic modalities. At it's foundation is the belief that while insight is important, real change takes place when we feel something in our bones and have a new experience of ourselves.
