Ours is a stressful world and anxiety disorders is one of my specialties. It's important to directly work with both the sources of stress and your stress responses (rapid heart rate, breathing difficulty, etc) to help you feel more in control and happier with life. I use cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness strategies in my therapy. The most important key to successful therapy is the relationship between us. This collaboration, our working together, gets things off on the right foot in helping you work on the issues you brought to therapy.
One of my primary interests is working with couples and relationship issues. This was my specialization in graduate school and continues to be one of my favorite ways of working with clients. Depression, grief, and life transitions such as college choices are other issues which I frequently treat and help you through the changes associated with these.
My style of working with patients is dynamic and direct. And it is specifically oriented to you. Together, we work to achieve your goals and help you grow and achieve your goals. I am very open to feedback along the way and encourage your input. Currently, I am doing psychotherapy sessions both virtually and in my physical office in Sandy Springs.
