I have over a decade of knowledge as a research investigator in psychology to assist in your counseling journey through experiences. I approach the human condition as if we contain natural resources, yet to be mined, to achieve full potential in life and relationships. There’s optimism in human nature and it contains hope to aspire towards greater self-understanding. Once a person becomes more self-aware of his/her behavior, it’s possible to change or adapt for the better.
The goals for Gottman method couples counseling are to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers of stagnancy; heighten senses of empathy & understanding within the context of the relationship. Individual therapy may utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
