Do you seek to better understand yourself, ease suffering, grow to your full potential, both individually and in relationships, and be more present in your life? Then you're in the right place. Many of the things with which we struggle, such as anxiety and depression, are ultimately tied to difficulties in how we relate to ourselves, and perhaps even more so, to others. Because of this, I see our relationship in therapy as the most important factor in helping you achieve your goals. When we feel supported, understood, and compassionately challenged, growth occurs over time at the level of the brain, promoting long-term change.
Much of our work together involves helping you increase your awareness, ability to manage, and utilize your feelings in and out of session to live a valued life . This includes helping you connect with what you are experiencing in the present moment more fully and at a deeper level, as well as understanding how your past has come to influence your present.
I work with adults and late adolescents (16-17), from all backgrounds. I see our work as wholly collaborative, with you as the expert in your own life and experience and myself as a guide to help you move towards the changes you desire. I am flexible in my approach and regularly seek feedback from you about our work. I look forward to hearing from you!
