My primary goal for psychotherapy places an emphasis on developing a strong, empathic, and collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients, as I believe this is essential in facilitating the process of change. Through working with my clients to explore sources of emotional conflict, effective strategies to cope with life's various stressors are developed, thereby enhancing personal growth. Whether it is coping with life transitions, sources of anxiety or depression, relationship issues, or health concerns, I strive to help my clients overcome the obstacles that have impeded upon achieving their life goals.
My style incorporates a blend of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic theories in order to develop an approach that is specific to my clients' needs. My interests also include neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic testing, geropsychology, and the psychology of men. I currently work with adolescent, adult, and elderly populations.
