Guiding a young person through their unique challenges can be a demanding task. School age kids can often struggle with anger, outbursts, defiance, grief, depression and loss, which impact their ability to function well at home and school. Teens and young adults often struggle with establishing identity, conflicts with family, and finding a way to adapt, cope, and express themselves in an ever-changing and demanding world. The increasing rates of youth mental health distress highlights the need for more robust mental health services and reaching out for help the first step.

The most important element of any counseling experience is the relationship. I provide young people and adults with a safe, honest, non-judgemental space to help increase comfort with the process of counseling. I implement games, art, and sensory activities to help make counseling more engaging which can help accelerate progress towards goals.

Starting counseling can be scary. As a longtime ally for kids, teens, young adults, and families struggling with life challenges, I aim to make the process of counseling as supportive and comfortable as possible. I will work collaboratively with you, your child, and family to work towards goals that honor their unique needs.
