As a first-generation Queer Quechua-Peruvian immigrant, I can relate to the unique experiences individuals have and what this can bring on top of life’s challenges as well as mental health conditions. My therapeutic training has been key in aiding various communities. In turn, my personal experiences have served as one source from where I draw empathy. This includes and is not limited to immigrants, children of immigrants, BIPOC, racialized folks, etc. I help my clients by aiding their process in developing skills to navigate life through a holistic focus on their wellbeing.
My philosophy is that through conversation and exploration we are all able to become aware of patterns created through our life experiences, develop healthy ways to navigate interactions, and have the opportunity to live a stable and healthy life. I utilize a combination of various practices with a focus on decolonized approaches to healing.
Allyship, privilege, racism, homophobia, colorism, history of colonization on mental health, and intersectionality are some topics that will be brought up and discussed within the therapeutic process.
