I believe that everyone is an author of their own story. And as with any story, the main character experiences challenges they are working to overcome. I believe that we as people experience language in a way that has created the challenges we experience as main characters, and we find difficulty in writing our story past these challenges. I work together with my clients to explore their story and assist how they want to change using their existing skills and introducing others as we take a journey to reach the goals they want.
I utilize systemic and postmodern approaches, in addition to narrative and collaborative therapy techniques to facilitate the process of change with my clients. I view therapy as a collaborative process with clients to create a safe, empowering environment to comfortably explore the story of their life as they continue to write it.
