I enjoy helping people who feel stuck in a certain area of their lives to find hope, get free and then find new patterns of living that allow their lives to function well and even to thrive. I have experienced the blessing of therapy in my own life and by God’s grace have been married for over 32 years, have raised 4 children, and have overcome a variety of personal and family crises. I know that people want to live meaningful and productive lives and when problems arise in their personal lives and relationships, it really helps to have someone come alongside of you, listen to you, and explore solutions to those problems together.
I work with all types of clients and issues but I specialize in men’s issues, pornography addiction, couples, pre-marriage, anxiety, grief and loss, and depression. I employ a variety of therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Group Therapy, and, if requested, Christian counseling.
I have over 40 years of experience in the people helping business, including (but not limited to) youth ministry in para-church and in church ministries, pastoring in various churches, working with low income, middle and upper income individuals and families, counseling in and outside of churches, volunteering in drug and alcohol rehab clinics, etc.
