I am a psychologist, father, husband, poet, scientist, actor, and lover of the truth of how difficult it can be to navigate adulthood from 18-80. I strongly believe that too few clients know what makes a therapist effective enough to make a meaningful difference.I value humble, poignant, and open interpersonal connections with clients, above all else.I am a directive therapist who understands both sides of the couch and gives 100% to each individual.I am a trained scholar in behavioral heath, and I have specialties in depression, anxiety, OCD and child loss.I meld cognitive behavioral psychology with the rich tenets of Zen-Buddhism.
Educated at Dartmouth College and Rutgers University and the affiliated Smithers Addiction Center, I have twenty years experience dealing with clinical depression, couples therapy, anxiety, and addictive disorders. I have extensive experience with the LGBTQ+ community individually and in groups. I view my practice as a passion, and I offer a full hour.
I work best with clients who want an active, engaging, and direct interaction that offers guidance without authority. One promise I make to clients is that I will never think anything about them privately that I will not share with them directly in a compassionate manner. I have myself worked on personal issues of depression, child loss, and family discord.
