I believe in a Life Balance perspective to helping individuals and family. I find that we tend to get stuck in certain ways of thinking and behaving which causes a cycle of dysfunction that is difficult to see and overcome. By developing insight and new skills, we have the ability to realign our lives into a more healthy Life Balance which will allow us to deal with life stress and problems by using a variety of resources at our disposal.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Social Work. I have been licensed since 2000 and providing treatment since 1994 to individuals, couples, groups, and children. I use a cognitive behavioral approach to treat a variety of mental health issues ranging from depression, anxiety, and chemical dependency.
Change is difficult even when it is something we want. Therapy is about change which means it can be difficult. I find that by taking small strategic steps outside of our comfort zone can lead to a life time of fulfillment and satisfaction.
