Hey, I am John; but you can call me Jake. Life knows how to mix up its pitches. The person we are today might not be the person we need to be tomorrow, or even want to be. I was blessed to play football collegiately and transitioning from my role as an athlete after school posed identity challenges, and gave me unique insights into redefining oneself. Helping you navigate life changes, and the anxiety that follows are my passions in treatment. Whether career shifts, relationship changes, or just plain old growing up and adulting, we can work to transition with clarity and confidence.
I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered mindfulness practices, and personalized strategies to help you develop effective coping skills, build resilience, and rediscover purpose in your life. You can expect elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
