Do you struggle with emotions that are difficult to manage? Are you engaging in behaviors that are problematic and interfering with your quality of life? I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a treatment that helps people learn healthy ways of regulating emotions, behaviors and thoughts. I will work with you in learning how to effectively make changes, solve problems and learn to accept yourself so that you may enhance your capacity to experience joy in your life. I also specialize in ACT, another CBT approach that helps people learn new ways of attending to their thoughts and emotions.
DBT is an evidence based practice that was developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. The treatment blends Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Zen practice and dialectical philosophy. This treatment helps us balance acceptance in the moment with the need and desire for change. ACT is a form of CBT that I also utilize to help people learn a more effective way of coping.
I am only providing Teletherapy. Individual skills training sessions are available as well given you have a primary therapist.

Adult DBT Skills Group
Adherent DBT Skills group as part of a comprehensive program or addition to your treatment. This is not intended to be a stand-alone group. Includes learning Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness skills. Group is 90 minutes and takes approximately 10 months to complete all modules.
