My primary treatment modality is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have 10 years of experience in the behavioral health services. With DBT skills you can have control over your behaviors, emotions and thoughts. You can feel better and increase your ability to cope. I specialize in unresolved trauma, SUD, anxiety and depression. My treatment focus range is ages 14 to 65+. I have a working history in an Inpatient Behavioral Health (IBH) service, Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program (BHIOP), and Addiction Medication Intensive Outpatient Program (AMIOP).
With DBT there are specific steps you can take to get a benefit and not make a bad situation worse. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based Therapy, and Deliberate Practice.
I treat each person in a respectful and caring manner while remaining observant of cultural and individual differences. I believe all people have a right to be respected regardless of their abilities, barriers, or needs, and I work with, and advocate for all of my clients through problem identification and resolution.
