What brings you to therapy? A sense of commitment to your mental health? Is it a need to process and work through intense or complicated life events? I’m not here to judge – instead, my goal is to build an authentic trusting relationship with you so we can navigate the hard and often uncomfortable parts of life together. More than anything, I want you to know that you are not alone.
In my practice I draw from existential, narrative, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused counseling theories to provide a blended person-centered approach to our work together. My passion and primary area of expertise is in serving those who are survivors of grief and loss, including ambiguous losses from life changes.
Growing up as an identical twin and being (tied) for the youngest of four children in rural Minnesota, I have found strength in relying on a community of support to navigate both the joyful and painful seasons of life. Outside of the therapy office, some of my interests include theatre, fishing, being in nature, and playing board games.
