I am very grateful to offer counseling for adults who are looking for a welcoming place to rest, reflect, and create a path forward that is in line with their values. I often describe my approach as relational, process-oriented counseling for the human condition. My ideal clients are those who have become tired of the self-improvement hamster wheel, and have begun to sense (perhaps through meditation, psychedelics, art) the potential freedom beyond their personal story.
In my work with clients, I draw upon awareness and compassion practices, my experience as a mindfulness meditation teacher, and my roots as a person-centered counselor. You can expect to be welcomed with warmth, compassion and humor when we meet. I relate to all of my clients as a fellow human, embracing the mess with patience, courage and sincerity.
There is much freedom in learning to let go of our conditioned ways of thinking, feeling and being in the world. I enjoy working with those who are ready to let go of what is no longer serving them. This is a challenging and opportunistic process. When we welcome the process with nonjudgmental awareness and compassion, we may learn a gentler way of being.

Groups
Meditation Group
Every 3rd Saturday of the month we gather on the front porch of the Cedar Walk Wellness Center from 9-10am. The group is open to all. We typically begin with a poetry reading followed by 10-15 minutes of shared silence. We then review guidelines for mindful sharing to create a safe and supportive container for our practice together. Open sharing follows before ending with another short period of meditation. Feel free to check out the local bluegrass gathering or the farmer's market afterwards. :) This group is offered freely.
