I am a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist trained through the Beck Institute in 2001, a Certified EMDR therapist trained via EMDR Institute, a former family caregiver, I am Trauma informed, and also have SA therapy experience in inpatient, IOP, and facilitated Early Recovery Groups.
The past 10 years I have worked with adults with complicated issues and with family members who struggle with the role of caregiver. A former caregiver myself this gives me a unique perspective and understanding of this experience. Having provided counseling since 1998 with substance abuse also add a different dimension in the therapeutic relationship.
