My clients are looking for a different type of therapy. They wish for a more enlivened and interactive approach that engages beyond words and captures the heart of one's struggle and yearning to break free. My clients oftentimes feel lost, plagued with chronic anxiety, depression or anger, and stuck in a rigidified experience of themselves. They toggle between a tired set of coping mechanisms; and the fear and distrust of branching out into the new. My work cradles the middle: lovingly chipping away at the hardened barriers while welcoming in steady, free, authentic expression. All held in grace and awe for this precious life.
I lean on the biopsychosocial model with a focus on intersectionality. As outgrowths of our environments, our environments must be deeply considered in understanding of our current expression. I bring experiential practices to my session to balance the nervous system and break through rigidified stylings; while honoring all parts toward an integrated whole.
My unique background as a Doctor of Chiropractic and Creative Performance Artist give me the benefit of a rich understanding and expertise in the language of the Soma/Body and the language of creativity. I also draw from Attachment Theory, Depth Psychology, and Polyvagal interventions. I am trained in Couples and Sex Therapy utilizing EFT and Imago Dialogue.
