Helping Hands Psychotherapy, LCSW, P.C. is a group practice staffed by caring and compassionate social workers ready to work with you to help you achieve success. Our mission is to help individuals find their best selves. Through the use of psychotherapy, individuals can work towards finding a balance in their own lives and those of their family members. We help individuals to be able to navigate their feelings, better understand themselves, make difficult decisions and effectively use coping mechanisms to manage stress, relationship conflicts, and life in general.
Joan Salmon is trained in the treatment of women's issues and parental mental health . At HHP we are passionate about reproductive mental health and understand that family building can be an emotional roller coaster. Trying to conceive is often harder than you imagined, pregnancy can be complicated , and sometimes.. motherhood isn't what you expected.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Support Group
This group is for new and expecting mothers -pregnancy and 1 year postpartum. Pregnancy and motherhood can be harder than imagined. You are not alone. Up to 1 in 5 women experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder. What was once known as "postpartum depression" is now better understood. We know that symptoms often start in pregnancy and can continue through the first year. We also know about complications in the "4th trimester" when your newborn baby is still developing. This group offers a supportive environment where you can explore emotions, learn coping skills and find strength through others experiences.
