I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing for over 35 years. Along with my private practice, I was the Director of Counseling at a private independent boarding/day high school and particularly enjoy supporting individuals that are making the transition to young adulthood. Prior to this, I was the Director of Family Therapy Training at a large and reputable mental health clinic. My particular expertise is in working with individual adults across their life span.
Through several different clinical approaches, I assist individuals in understanding the interferences in which hinder their capacity to reach their own highest level of functioning . I incorporate my strong foundation in dynamic and family systems theory to address relationship issues both within the nuclear family or family of origin.
My strength lies in my ability to develop strong, positive and trusting relationships with my clients who often return during difficult life stages and challenging events. I can develop these relationships within both a short-term and longer-term model.
