Do you strive for more fulfillment and peace in your life? Does your child struggle with behavior problems, depression, or anxiety? My approach is strength-based, looking to build upon your positive potential by discovering existing strengths and internal resources. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I also work with divorced couples co-parenting children. I have extensive training and experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), depressive and anxiety problems, couples counseling, and parenting issues. I have years of experience working with mood disorders and self-injury in both children and adults.
Strengthening relationships and developing health self-perceptions is part of the work I do with each individual. Each person is unique and requires a tailored approach and an individualized goal strategy. I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, nurturing environment where we can focus on what you want to change.
My specialties also include LGBT issues and gender diversity. I have extensive experience with transgender and gender nonconforming children, teens, and adults. I work with parents and other family members to help facilitate understanding about their loved one's gender or sexuality self-identification.
