My name is Jill Krafts. For nearly 20 years, I have been helping adolescents and adults to improve their mood, manage stress and feel more joyful about their lives. I have experience in treating depression, and I have a specialty in treating anxiety/worry, panic attacks, phobias, unwanted thoughts and repetitive behaviors. I am direct and honest with my clients, and I focus on practical ways to solve problems. I use humor as a powerful ally in helping people analyze and change their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I primarily use Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), but I use other therapy approaches as well.
I grew up in Arizona and came to the Bay Area to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at Stanford University in psychology and communication. I then received my Master of Social Work degree at San Jose State University. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2003.
I worked at Kaiser Santa Clara Adult Psychiatry for 12 years, providing individual and group therapy to adults. I worked with adolescents and adults at The Pratt Center from 2005 to 2016. In 2017 I started my own private practice at the same location as The Pratt Center. I live in San Jose with my husband, two teenagers, and our dog.
