I work with clients who have experienced complex trauma and/or addiction issues, as well as the Neurodivergent population. I teach Somatic tools to begin the client's development of a working coping toolbox, with a focus on interception. Then begin processing, using a form of bilateral stimulation. Many clients express a decrease in symptoms, such as anxiety/panic attacks and depression.

When treating clients, I pull from Somatic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems/Inner Child Work, DBT tools, and others. In Somatic work, which is where I primarily begin teaching clients coping tools, we incorporate body-oriented modalities such as breathe work, movement, and meditation, utilizing a bottom-up approach. This allows a connection with the body first, before addressing thoughts.

Families of Addiction Support Group

This group provides support and education for adults who have a child or loved one struggling with addiction. Members will learn positive coping skills and how to set healthy boundaries, while supporting their loved one. Group is facilitated by Jill Dean, L.P.C. Confidentiality will be a priority for this group. Group meets twice per month. Short intake required prior to entering group. $50/session. Starting in January, 2022.

Self-Care Support for Trauma-Care Professionals
