I have a warm, compassionate rapport with clients, specializing in marriage and couples therapy. I use the Emotionally Focused Therapy approach to help couples reconnect and rekindle their closeness. My 30 years of experience give me an excellent understanding of how to help couples. I work with couples in a non-judgmental atmosphere. I like working collaboratively with clients who are motivated to acknowledge their issues and work on them. I like to work from a faith-based perspective. We will define the problem for which you seek help, set goals and regularly assess your progress towards these goals.
For couples who want to take their relationship to the next level, I offer premarital counseling, marital/couples counseling, communication skills training, and marriage enrichment. I am skilled in using the Prepare/Enrich Relationship Assessment. I am currently working towards a Certification as an Emotionally Focused Therapist.
I also offer workshops on a variety of topics including, but not limited to communication skills, parenting, grief, and self-esteem. I offer these at churches, PTO's, workplaces and colleges. Finding the right therapist is a very important decision. I offer hope to clients that change is possible!
