My practice incorporates creative and play therapy, but I am flexible in my approach depending on the needs of my client. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. Through nonjudgemental listening, I create a safe place to explore issues such as self-acceptance, coping with family or personal struggles and addressing behavioral issues . Some of the skills that I help my clients develop in session are: identifying emotions, improving coping skills, building communication and strengthening relationships.
I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor registered with the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners. I have gained experience in individual, couples, and play therapy at the Picard Center for Counseling and Personal Development. Additionally, I have experience in group work, pregnancy and postpartum therapy and working with students with disabilities.
My goal is to create a safe environment for clients to explore and evaluate current issues. By focusing on strengths, we will work together to build coping skills, self-efficacy and self-esteem.
