As a client at various times in my own life, I appreciate the challenge of engaging with a new therapist. The vulnerability of opening up to a stranger is real and palpable. My work always begins with this recognition, and has led to twenty years of creating a safe and comfortable space, while nurturing deeply meaningful relationships. For twenty years my practice has focused on supporting young adults (18+) and adults. My expertise includes working with clients around depression, anxiety, divorce, relationship issues, life changes, professional decisions, and family conflict. I have also been through extensive training to inform my work with individuals surviving trauma.
My approach is eclectic, as I don't believe any one theory can support the need's of each unique individual. Whether our work becomes insight oriented, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or interpersonally focused, our relationship and your strengths and goals will guide the process.
